How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A stable job, weekly pay and the chance to secure a permanent position after just 12 weeks could be the start of something longer term. As a Food Production Operative, you'll join a busy site where you'll learn valuable manufacturing skills, work across different areas and have genuine opportunities to progress.

    You'll be supported from the start, with the opportunity to develop your knowledge of meat processing, equipment operation and safety standards while working towards a permanent position.

    Your responsibilities as a Food Production Operative

    Support different areas across the manufacturing process to keep operations running efficiently
    Work as part of the team to achieve daily output targets
    Follow site safety and Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines
    Operate equipment safely in line with site procedures and training
    Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout your shift
    Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting issues

    What we’re looking for in a Food Production Operative

    Ability to follow processes, instructions and site procedures accurately
    Good attention to detail when completing practical tasks
    Ability to work safely within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    Ability to meet required quality and output standards
    Willingness to learn new processes, equipment and working methods

    Working hours
    The twilight shift works from Tuesday to Saturday.

    Tuesday to Thursday: 15:00 to 22:30
    Friday: 14:30 to 21:30
    Saturday: 09:30 to 17:00
