How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A competent DSP Engineer with multidisciplinary experience and who is comfortable working within the electronics and firmware domains will join the new FPGA team within a thriving Technical Consultancy; contributing to a range of Client projects including the very latest radar, communications and sensing applications. Salary negotiable.

The successful multidisciplinary Engineer will translate customer requirements into robust implementations. You’ll bring good knowledge of FPGA design alongside the Digital Signal Processing skills; will have ideally worked with the Vivado toolchain, although other FPGA platforms will be considered. An appreciation of RF systems would also be beneficial.

Working closely with hardware, software and systems engineers, your development work will primarily target Xilinx silicon; delivering high-quality DSP/FPGA designs and implementations; engaging with Clients on a technical level, undertaking design reviews and bringing your own ideas to solve technically challenging problems.

If you are a bright Engineer whose core skills include DSP & FPGA design and are seeking a rewarding career move enabling you to broaden your technical knowledge – this dynamic company can offer you stability, career development, daily challenges, a top salary package and a great working environment.

Applications are welcome from mid level up to Senior level engineers with a generous salary offered commensurate with experience.

A competitive salary will be offered depending on your level of experience, with Hybrid working (normally 3 days office / 2 WFH), Company Bonus scheme, 25 days holiday (+ option to purchase 5 more), Private Healthcare, Pension (employee 5% minimum / employer 10%), Life Assurance (6x salary), Permanent Health Insurance, Long Service awards, cycle to work scheme, Car Lease scheme, free refreshments and more.

Due to the nature of Defence projects, you must be a British National eligible for UK Security Clearance
