How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

    We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher to join a specialist setting in Northumberland, supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities during their early years education.

    The Role
    As an Early Years SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child can develop and thrive. You will plan and deliver engaging, child-centred activities tailored to individual needs, abilities and developmental stages.

    You will work closely with teaching assistants, families and other professionals to ensure each child receives the support they need to make meaningful progress.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging Early Years lessons and activities adapted to individual SEND needs.
    Create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
    Support children's communication, social, emotional and academic development.
    Develop and implement individualised learning plans and appropriate interventions.
    Monitor and assess children's progress and maintain accurate records.
    Work collaboratively with support staff, parents/carers and external professionals.
    Promote positive behaviour and help children develop independence and confidence.
    Ensure safeguarding and welfare procedures are followed at all times.
    About You
    We are looking for someone who is:

    A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
    Experienced in, or passionate about, working with children with SEND.
    Ideally experienced within an Early Years setting.
    Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with children.
    Creative and adaptable in their approach to teaching and learning.
    Confident working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
    Committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
