How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased)

    Location: Frome / Bath

    Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 (DOE)

    Shift Pattern: Double Days, Monday to Friday

    As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of production equipment, including Fillers, Mixers, Capping Machines, Cooling Tunnels, Robotics, Wrapping Machines, Labelling Machines, Checkweighers, Conveyors etc.

    Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
    Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
    Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
    Working on 3-phase systems, motors, sensors and control equipment as well as bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, belts, chains, drives etc
    Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
    Contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the site

    The Candidate

    We're looking for Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working within a collaborative maintenance environment and is keen to develop their skills.

    Essential Requirements:

    Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (Electrical or Multi-Skilled)
    Previous maintenance engineering experience within an FMCG Manufacturing, Production or Industrial environment
    Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
    PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
    Proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    The ability to work independently and as part of a team and as part of a team
