Working with the Principal Contractor on Net Zero Teesside, one of the UK's most significant low-carbon infrastructure programmes, we're looking for a Senior Engineer to join the team delivering this landmark project. This is a genuine opportunity to work on a nationally important scheme, with a business that's investing heavily in the region and in the people delivering it.
The Role
You'll take a lead engineering role across your area of the works, providing technical direction to junior engineers and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the standard the project demands. You'll work closely with design, commercial and site teams to keep engineering solutions practical, compliant and deliverable.
Provide day-to-day technical and engineering leadership on site
Review and approve method statements, drawings and technical submissions
Ensure work is carried out in line with design intent, specification and quality standards
Support the resolution of technical queries and design changes as they arise
Coach and develop junior engineers and graduates within the team
Liaise with designers, subcontractors and the wider project team to keep works progressing
Maintain accurate engineering records, as-builts and technical documentation
Uphold the highest standards of health, safety and environmental complianceAbout You
Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on major civils, industrial or energy infrastructure projects
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Experience working for a Principal Contractor on large, complex schemes
SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS
Strong technical and problem-solving ability, comfortable making decisions on site
