How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    DevOps / Cloud Engineer (AWS) | Active SC Clearance Essential

    Day Rate: £600 per day (Outside IR35)
    Location: Hybrid, London (1 day per week onsite)
    Contract Length: Initial 6 months
    Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
    Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

    We are partnering with a leading government programme to recruit an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join a highly skilled cloud engineering function. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a large-scale digital transformation programme, helping to design, automate and support secure cloud environments that underpin critical public sector services.
    Working closely with architects, developers and security specialists, you will play a key role in building scalable cloud platforms, enhancing deployment capabilities and driving DevOps best practices across the organisation.
    Key Responsibilities
    Design, implement and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
    Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
    Build, optimise and support CI/CD pipelines utilising GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
    Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
    Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions to improve platform visibility.
    Automate operational and deployment processes using Python and Bash scripting.
    Ensure platform reliability, scalability and high availability.
    Maintain security, compliance and governance standards across cloud environments.
    Support DevSecOps and Platform Engineering initiatives.
    Collaborate with technical teams, providing guidance and best-practice recommendations.Required Skills & Experience
    Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
    Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
    Proven expertise with Terraform.
    Commercial experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
    Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
    Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
    Bash scripting and Python automation experience.
    Solid understanding of IAM and cloud security principles.
    Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
    Exposure to monitoring, logging and observability tools.
    Experience working within Agile delivery environments.Contract Overview
    £600 per day, Outside IR35.
    Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential.
    Hybrid working model with 1 day per week onsite in London.
