An established and growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in the North East of Scotland.
Working across a range of infrastructure, utilities and civil engineering projects, you will play a key role in ensuring commercial success from project award through to final account. This position offers excellent exposure to varied projects, a supportive management team and opportunities for further career development.
The Role
Commercial management of multiple projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
Preparation of monthly cost and value reports (CVRs)
Submission of applications for payment and management of project valuations
Management of subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts
Monitoring project performance, cash flow and profitability
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Liaising with clients, operational teams and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Supporting commercial best practice across project teamsAbout You
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
Experience managing subcontractors and project costs
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licenceDesirable
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Experience within infrastructure, utilities, groundworks, earthworks or civil engineering projectsPackage
