How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your new company
    A well-established and growing organisation operating across multiple sectors, including construction, FM, engineering and maintenance environments. Due to continued growth and investment in business improvement, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Quality & Compliance Manager to join the team at their North Kent-based headquarters.
    The business has enjoyed an exceptionally strong few years of growth across several of their core divisions and continues to develop creating the need for multiple new roles to facilitate the growth and help implement and enhance existing processes. The Quality manager is a critical part of this growth and a newly created position.

    Your new role
    You will take ownership of the company's quality assurance and compliance framework, ensuring robust systems, processes and standards are maintained across the business. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will lead internal audits, manage ISO 9001 accreditation, analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to influence business-wide standards and contribute directly to ongoing operational excellence.
    Key responsibilities will include:

    Managing and developing the Quality Assurance Framework across the business.
    Leading internal quality audits and compliance reviews.
    Maintaining ISO 9001 accreditation and associated quality standards.
    Producing audit findings, KPI reports and improvement recommendations for senior management.
    Supporting operational teams with process, policy and procedural improvements.
    Coordinating audit programmes and compliance schedules.
    Delivering quality and compliance training where required.
    Overseeing compliance systems including SharePoint-based IMS, HandsHQ, MyCompliance, PeopleSafe and Sage.
    Monitoring legislation, industry standards and best practice requirements.
    Promoting a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

    What you'll need to succeed
    You will have a strong background in quality assurance, compliance or quality management within a construction or FM business. You will possess excellent auditing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence change across multiple departments.
    Key responsibilities
    Experience managing ISO 9001 accreditation.
    Strong knowledge of quality management systems and audit processes.
    Experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks.
    Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful management information.
    Proven experience driving process improvements and business change.
    Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    ISO 9001, Quality Management or Lead Auditor qualifications would be advantageous.
