How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    EICA Project Engineer – Water Industry

    The Role

    We are recruiting for an EICA Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major water infrastructure project.

    This position would suit an Electrical, ICA or EICA Engineer looking to develop further within project engineering. Working closely with and reporting into a Senior EICA Project Engineer, you'll support the coordination and delivery of the electrical, instrumentation, control and automation elements of the project.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support the Senior EICA Project Engineer with the delivery of EICA packages.

    * Assist with coordination of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation works.

    * Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and engineering documentation.

    * Liaise with designers, subcontractors, suppliers and site delivery teams.

    * Support the procurement and technical review of EICA equipment and packages.

    * Assist with resolving technical queries and EICA interface issues.

    * Coordinate instrumentation, PLC, SCADA and control-system requirements.

    * Support FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning activities.

    * Monitor installation progress and ensure works are delivered in line with design requirements.

    * Assist with RAMS, ITPs, technical documentation and project handover information.

    * Attend project, design and coordination meetings as required.

    * Work closely with commissioning and construction teams as the project progresses.

    Ideally you'll have:

    * Experience within the UK water or wastewater industry.

    * An Electrical, ICA, Controls or EICA engineering background.

    * Good working knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs and SCADA systems.

    * Understanding of MCCs, control panels, telemetry and electrical/control interfaces.

    * Some previous Project Engineer, Assistant Project Engineer, EICA Engineer or similar experience.

    * Good organisational and communication skills.

    * A desire to develop into a more senior EICA Project Engineering position.

    * EUSR Water Hygiene Card – required.

    * Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications and CSCS/ECS would be advantageous.
