How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Hybrid, 2–3 days in the office

LEASE provides free, expert and impartial advice to leaseholders, park home owners and shared owners across England and Wales, reaching more than 1.4 million people a year.

We are two years into an ambitious transformation, and we are creating a new senior leadership role at the heart of what comes next.

The Head of Digital and Data will bring our digital services and data and analytics capabilities together under one accountable leader for the first time. You will lead our digital and data estate - including our website and online tools, Zendesk CRM, AI chatbot, e-learning platforms and Azure/Databricks data platform - alongside a multidisciplinary team spanning engineering, product, design, digital services and data.

This is a role for someone who has led transformation before and knows how to make it stick: someone equally credible in a product stand-up, a data architecture discussion and a Board meeting.

You will also be our senior lead for the safe, ethical and effective use of data and AI, ensuring technology delivers measurable public benefit while maintaining LEASE’s principle that AI enhances expertise; it does not replace it.

    We’re looking for someone with:

    • Senior leadership experience spanning digital delivery and data/analytics
    • A strong track record of moving transformation from design into business-as-usual
    • Hands-on understanding of cloud data platforms, ideally Azure and Databricks
    • Strong data and information governance expertise, including UK GDPR
    • Good understanding of public-sector cyber security, including Cyber Essentials Plus and NCSC principles
    • The credibility to operate effectively with senior executives and Boards

    Why LEASE?

You will have genuine end-to-end ownership, the opportunity to shape a nationally important public service, and the chance to build digital, data and AI capability that directly improves outcomes for consumers.

We also offer a 10% employer pension with no employee contribution, a genuine 35-hour working week, flexible working and a culture that values sustainable performance rather than long hours.

    📅 Closing date: 16 September 2026

    Interviews: 22 September 2026
