Estimator – Residential Construction
£90,000–£95,000 + Package | Office Based
PreCon Talent is working confidentially with a highly regarded and well-established residential developer and contractor looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team.
The business has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments and continues to maintain a strong pipeline of projects across London and the surrounding regions.
Reporting directly to the Pre-Construction Director, you’ll play a key role in the preparation and delivery of competitive tenders, working closely with the wider pre-construction, commercial and operational teams.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed and accurate estimates for residential construction projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Producing take-offs, cost plans and tender submissions
- Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiry packages
- Analysing and levelling subcontractor quotations
- Identifying commercial opportunities and potential project risks
- Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams throughout the pre-construction process
- Supporting tender reviews and ensuring submissions are commercially robust and competitive
About You
We’re looking for an experienced construction Estimator with a strong background in residential development or contracting.
You should have a good understanding of residential construction, current market rates, subcontractor packages and the tendering process, together with the ability to produce accurate and commercially considered estimates.
