How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    To assist in the delivery and governance of commercial services to the Highways Maintenance and Projects Framework in a manner that achieves both value for money for our client and sustainable shareholder value consistent with the contract, tender and agreed processes in the spirit of mutual trust and co-operation


    Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

    • To work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations for all personnel under your authority and others who may be affected by the Company’s activities such as the general public
    • Front line responsibility for service delivery of Capital works, routine maintenance works, winter maintenance and emergency response activities including standby duties as required
    • Supervise the operational teams in line with productivity and quality targets and to produce weekly costs and value using bespoke software
    • Monitor the skills and experience of operatives within the teams and work with Area Manager to plan training and development
    • Working knowledge of CDM
    • Work closely with the Plant and Fleet Department to manage the vehicle and equipment assets at best efficiency. It is the Supervisors responsibility to reduce vehicle damage incidents and promote a culture of valuing the company’s assets
    • Actively promote and use the bespoke software available to deliver the service requirements


    Essential Skills required;

    The role of Supervisor is a position that requires good detailed knowledge of operational issues. It will require the supervisor to develop, plan and execute daily works in an organised way to ensure profitable returns, safety for all teams and customer satisfaction. Training support will be essential to ensure that Supervisors have the skill set to meet all requirements of the role and this will be addressed through appraisal and training development.

    • At all times adhere to company procedures with regard to Health and Safety and where applicable to ensure all team members do like wise
    • At all times to behave in a way that supports the company’s stated Vision and Values and where applicable to ensure all team members do like wise.
