We're looking for a Team Leader to join our Public Law and Human Rights team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and and support on Claims Against Public Authorities (CAPA), while supporting the team's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day leadership of the team
- Supervision of all Claims Against Public Authority (CAPA) cases and Inquest cases in the team
- Providing technical support on CAPA cases
- Tracking the teams performance
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements through file reviews and technical clinics, managing conflicts of interest, and addressing ethical issues as they arise.
- Assisting with the professional development of team members
- Develop and manage a small caseload
- Effectively and efficiently conduct cases on behalf of clients in accordance with the overall policies and objectives of the firm
- Develop local business to secure referrals
- Participate in the development, marketing, and success of the department
Key Requirements
- Must be a grade A Solicitor qualified in England and Wales and hold a current practising certificate
- Have demonstrated experience in managing claims against public authorities
- Demonstrated experience in in conducting own advocacy
- Demonstrated leadership/management skills
- Strong business development skills
