How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We're looking for a Team Leader to join our Public Law and Human Rights team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and and support on Claims Against Public Authorities (CAPA), while supporting the team's continued growth and success.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Day to day leadership of the team
    • Supervision of all Claims Against Public Authority (CAPA) cases and Inquest cases in the team
    • Providing technical support on CAPA cases
    • Tracking the teams performance
    • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements through file reviews and technical clinics, managing conflicts of interest, and addressing ethical issues as they arise.
    • Assisting with the professional development of team members
    • Develop and manage a small caseload
    • Effectively and efficiently conduct cases on behalf of clients in accordance with the overall policies and objectives of the firm
    • Develop local business to secure referrals
    • Participate in the development, marketing, and success of the department


    Key Requirements

    • Must be a grade A Solicitor qualified in England and Wales and hold a current practising certificate
    • Have demonstrated experience in managing claims against public authorities
    • Demonstrated experience in in conducting own advocacy
    • Demonstrated leadership/management skills
    • Strong business development skills
