How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ASEC Sunderland is seeking a motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for various positions within our organization. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with hiring managers to meet the recruitment needs of the company.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
    • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions that reflect the requirements of each role.
    • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking, to identify potential candidates.
    • Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from application to offer negotiation and onboarding.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Collaborate with the HR team to improve and streamline recruitment processes and candidate experience.
    • Provide timely reports on recruitment metrics and analyse data to drive improvements in sourcing and hiring practices.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and recommend strategies to enhance our employer brand.


    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in a corporate or fast paced environment.
    • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics and analytics.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Proficiency in using ATS and other recruitment tools.
    • Experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
