An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK infrastructure organisation delivering major investment projects across critical utility networks. This role offers the chance to develop your career within a business responsible for maintaining and enhancing nationally significant infrastructure that supports essential services and long-term regional growth.
We are seeking a commercially minded individual who is eager to build a career in quantity surveying and project delivery. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals and Project Managers, you will support the financial and contractual management of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will include assisting with contract administration, cost control, payment certification, expenditure forecasting, risk management activities and tender evaluations. You will also contribute to commercial reporting, supplier engagement and dispute resolution processes, gaining exposure to all aspects of project commercial management while developing your technical and professional expertise.
You will ideally hold, or be working towards, a Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent professional qualification and a base knowledge of NEC contracts. You will also have strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills. A good level of commercial awareness and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are expected, while experience within utilities, construction or infrastructure environments would be advantageous.
