How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Reed is delighted to be partnering with the City of London Corporation to recruit an experienced SAP Payroll Implementation Specialist to support a major payroll system implementation programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong SAP payroll systems expertise who enjoys working within project environments and contributing to the successful delivery of complex payroll transformation initiatives.

Please note that this is not a traditional payroll processing position. We are seeking someone who can bring hands-on experience of payroll system implementations, testing activities, and payroll system optimisation.

6-Month Contract, Hybrid Working | Bank, London

    The Opportunity

Joining an established project team, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and enhancement of payroll systems, ensuring accurate testing, validation, and successful delivery ahead of go-live activities.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and external system partners to ensure the new payroll solution is fully tested, validated, and ready for operational use.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support payroll system implementation and improvement projects, with a strong focus on SAP Payroll.
    • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and parallel payroll runs.
    • Validate payroll data and perform reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy.
    • Identify, investigate, and track system defects through to resolution.
    • Support payroll-related system configuration and change activities.
    • Document processes, workflows, and testing outcomes.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide support during critical project milestones, including go-live phases.

    About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

    Essential Experience

    • Strong hands-on SAP Payroll experience.
    • Previous involvement in payroll system implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.
    • Experience conducting UAT, system testing, and parallel payroll runs.
    • Strong payroll systems knowledge and an understanding of payroll processes.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience validating and reconciling payroll data.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

    Desirable Experience

    • Experience working within public sector organisations.
    • Exposure to multiple payroll platforms such as SAP, iTrent, Civica, or similar systems.
    • Experience supporting payroll system go-live activities.

    Apply Now

If you have strong SAP Payroll experience and a proven background supporting payroll system implementations, testing, and project delivery, we would love to hear from you.
