How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established business for a Commercial Analyst to join their sales team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has a commercial head on their shoulders, and likes being the person other teams turn to for answers.
You'll sit close to the sales function, helping shape pricing decisions and making sure the wider business has the data and insight it needs to make good calls. It's a varied role, one day you might be deep in a margin analysis, the next you're fielding queries from field-based sales colleagues or pulling together a report for the management team.

    What You'll Be Doing

Partnering with the sales team on pricing and commercial decision-making
Analysing margins and assessing the financial impact of pricing strategies
Producing and interpreting sales data to guide business decisions
Managing incoming queries via a shared inbox
Liaising with field-based sales colleagues, offering pricing advice and insight
Supporting the sales management team and wider business with reporting and analysis
Helping identify and implement process improvements
Gathering key business information and preparing reports
Pitching in with general administrative tasks as needed
    What We're Looking For

Strong Excel skills — comfortable with VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and IF functions
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work closely with both office-based and field sales teams
Commercial awareness, with a solid understanding of margins and how pricing decisions play out financially
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
    Sound Like You?
If you've got a good head for data, enjoy working across teams, and want to get stuck into a role where your analysis genuinely influences decisions, we'd love to hear from you
