Electrical Installation Engineer / Electrical Supervisor

Location: Culham, Abingdon - Onsite
Pay Rate: £32.80 per hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)
Contract: Until 30th September 2027

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer / Electrical Supervisor to support ongoing electrical installation and project delivery across a major industrial site in Culham, Abingdon.

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of electrical works, including installation, commissioning, testing, fault-finding, maintenance and repair. You will also have the opportunity to lead installation teams and provide guidance to less experienced electricians and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and carry out electrical installation work across the site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales.
Follow Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW) and all relevant health and safety procedures.
Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in accordance with current regulations and site standards.
Construct, wire and commission electrical control cubicles and control panels.
Carry out electrical testing, commissioning and fault-finding on control and distribution equipment.
Lead installation teams and supervise electricians and apprentices where required.
Plan and prioritise daily activities, allocating work to team members in line with project requirements.
Work collaboratively with different teams and disciplines across the site.
Identify and resolve electrical problems effectively.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance at all times.
Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Essential Requirements

ECS Gold Card - essential.
Proven experience as an electrician/electrical installation engineer within an industrial or commercial environment.
Demonstrable experience working safely to Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW).
Strong electrical installation, testing and commissioning experience.
Experience in electrical fault-finding and repair.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing tasks.

Desirable Experience

Previous electrical supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience supervising electricians, apprentices or junior team members.
Knowledge of large electrical distribution networks.
Experience working with electrical control panels/cubicles.
Experience delivering electrical projects within a large industrial environment..
