How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With a strong international presence and a reputation for quality, innovation and customer focus, our client continues to invest in its people, products and markets to drive sustainable growth across the world.

As part of our client's continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of Category Management / Senior Category Manager to take ownership of several of its most important product categories, including Pumps, Chemicals, Big Foot Systems, Tools and wider HVAC accessories.

This is a high-profile leadership opportunity for an ambitious product and category professional looking to influence strategy, drive growth and shape the future direction of key product portfolios within a global business.

    The Opportunity

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for defining and delivering category strategies that maximise revenue growth, profitability and market share across multiple product categories.
You will use customer, installer, wholesaler and market insight to identify opportunities, assess risks and ensure our product ranges remain competitive, innovative and aligned to market demand.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Innovation, Technical, Supply Chain and international teams, you will play a central role in product roadmap development, category planning, new product introduction and lifecycle management.
    Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute category strategies across Pumps, Chemicals, Big Foot Systems, Tools and HVAC accessories.
Drive category growth, profitability, market positioning and product portfolio effectiveness.
Analyse installer, wholesaler, customer and market insight to identify opportunities, trends and gaps within the product offering.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, market developments and emerging technologies.
Lead category planning, product roadmap development and portfolio optimisation initiatives.
Support new product development through market analysis, business case creation and commercial evaluation.
Manage product lifecycle activities from concept through to launch, review and ongoing optimisation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of category plans.
Provide category expertise and strategic direction across international markets.
Lead, mentor and develop Product Management team members, creating a high-performing and commercially focused function.
    About You

We are looking for a commercially driven category or product management professional with experience gained within HVAC/R, refrigeration, air conditioning, pumps, tools, chemicals, accessories or a similarly technical product-led environment.
You will combine strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to translate market insight into successful commercial strategies.
    Key experience includes:

Proven Category Management and/or Product Management experience.
Strong understanding of HVAC/R or related technical product sectors.
Experience developing and executing successful category strategies.
Commercial acumen with strong knowledge of pricing, margin management and growth planning.
Ability to analyse market, customer and competitor data to drive decision making.
    Strong communication and influencing skills.
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Ability to operate effectively within an international business environment.
Previous people leadership experience would be advantageous.
    What's On Offer

Excellent negotiable salary (flexible for exceptional candidates).
    Excellent benefits package.
Opportunity to join a highly respected global market leader.
Significant influence over category strategy and business growth.
International exposure and career development opportunities.
    Collaborative, innovative and ambitious culture.
If you are an experienced category or product leader looking to make a genuine impact within a global market-leading organisation, we would welcome your application
