How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Teacher - PE Specialism

    Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
    Salary: £29,702.40 - £46,519.20 per annum
    Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
    Hours: 40 hours per week

    About the Role

    Simply Education are excited to be working with a specialist SEND setting in High Wycombe, supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher with a PE specialism to deliver high-quality, personalised teaching in a nurturing and supportive environment.

    The setting offers very small class sizes, with some provisions supporting no more than three pupils per class, allowing teachers to build strong relationships and tailor learning to individual needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that meet a range of learning styles and abilities.
    Develop personalised learning pathways based on individual needs and targets.
    Support pupils with complex SEND and challenging behaviours to achieve positive outcomes.
    Encourage independence, confidence and active engagement in learning.
    Prepare appropriate teaching materials and safely manage equipment and resources.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a consistent and supportive approach.
    Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and professional practice.

    What We're Looking For

    QTS or QTLS is essential.
    Minimum 2 years' experience working within a SEND environment, specialist unit or similar provision.
    A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND and complex needs.
    Experience managing and supporting challenging behaviour.
    A flexible, patient and inclusive approach to teaching.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    Ability to develop personalised and engaging learning experiences.
