How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Events Coordinator – 6 Week FTC

    Salary: £31,800 (pro-rated for the 6 weeks)
    Hours: Full time
Location: Thame – Hybrid, 4 days working from home and 1 day office based per week
    Contract: 6 week FTC

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Events Coordinator to join a busy events team for six weeks, providing essential administrative and coordination support for an upcoming conference. This is a hands-on, admin-focused role where you’ll help keep preparations on track and ensure everything is in place for a successful event. Whilst the role is mainly remote with 1 day per week in the office you will need to ideally be available for the day of the conference also.

Ideally you will have previous experience supporting events, conferences or similar projects and be someone who enjoys getting into the detail. You’ll be highly organised, accurate and confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines at once. Strong communication skills are important, as you’ll be liaising with colleagues, speakers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

    What you’ll do

provide day-to-day administrative support for the upcoming conference,
help to manage event timelines, actions, documentation and deadlines.
Coordinate with speakers, venues, suppliers and sponsors
    Gather event materials and information
Support delegate and speaker arrangements, and work with internal teams on event communications and content.
Help with event delivery and post-event administration, including feedback, attendance information and reporting.
Daily work using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Benefits
You’ll benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, with four days working from home and one day in the Thame office each week. This is a great short-term opportunity to join an established events team, contribute to the delivery of a key conference and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced events environment.

If you’re organised, detail-focused and ready to get stuck into the coordination of a major upcoming conference, we’d love to hear from you — apply today
