A global health care organisation now has a need for a Purchasing professional to lead the procurement function for their site in Oxfordshire.
Applicants need project, or high-level operational purchasing experience, preferably from a manufacturing background.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations & Governance
Manage and oversee procurement operational processes and systems.
Maintain effective controls and governance across purchasing activities.
Support the efficient execution of procurement transactions and workflows. Systems & Data Management
Maintain and enhance procurement systems, databases, and related digital tools.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of procurement and supplier data.
Support system users and drive ongoing improvements in functionality and usability. Reporting & Business Intelligence
Develop and deliver procurement performance reporting and management information.
Analyse spend, supplier, savings, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
Provide insights that support decision-making and procurement strategy. Contract & Commercial Administration
Support the administration and governance of procurement agreements and associated documentation.
Coordinate approval and execution processes for contracts and commercial documents.
Ensure records are maintained in accordance with company requirements.
Act as a key point of contact for procurement operational activities.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Legal, and the wider business.
Deliver training, communications, and guidance to support procurement best practices. Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience in procurement, procurement operations or supply chain management.
Purchasing in a dynamic manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with business systems, data management, and reporting tools.Desirable
Experience within a regulated or corporate procurement environment.
Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS).
Knowledge of procurement governance, supplier management, and contract administration.
Experience leading teams or coordinating operational activities.The Contract is initially for a 12-month period but may be extended
