How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Within Systems Installations Stress, we do the strength justifications (mainly static, with some fatigue) of all the Fuel, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical Installations on all Airbus product Wings - this includes the current production of A350, A330 and A320 family aircraft, the new A220, and the military A400M. Support is also given to out-of-production aircraft - A300/A310, A340 and A380. On the A320 family, we also do stress justifications on some High-Lift and Primary Flight Control parts (ATA27).

Tasking would include the compilation of Preliminary Stress Sheets (for Prelim Design Reviews), Stress Justification Dossiers (for Critical Design Reviews) and Modification Stress Justifications (to support airworthiness for modification closure) for aircraft modifications stress justification statements and supporting documents for part Concessions from our manufacturing sites and justifications for part repairs and repair proposals for Customer Services (which could relate to Aircraft-on-Ground or issues detected in routine maintenance).

Justifications are in line with defined requirements and processes, many of which are common with the Primary Structures Stress community, hence the skill is considered transferable between Structures and Systems Installations.

A good working knowledge of general stress processes and tools is required, including understanding of free-body diagrams, load paths and pressure vessels analysis is generally completed using hand calculation techniques complemented by Finite Element Analysis. As the tasking is varied and normally short-duration (i.e. individual tasks completion is a matter of days or weeks), agility is also an advantage, as there is a high turnover of tasking. Typical tools include ISAMI (the standard Airbus Analysis tool) and HyperWorks for analysis, with Google Workspace as the productivity tool.

Experience in Systems Installations Stress is preferred, with delegated signature rights being highly desirable
