How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mental Health Assistant - Basingstoke, Hampshire

    £95-£105 per day | ASAP Start | Full-Time | Long-Term

    Are you passionate about supporting children with their emotional wellbeing? This could be a fantastic opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant looking to gain valuable experience within a specialist school setting.

    A welcoming primary school in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.

    The Role

    As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils who may experience Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma-related behaviours and SEMH needs.

    Your role will include:

    Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing.
    Helping pupils develop confidence and independence.
    Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning.
    Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
    Working alongside teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.
    Supporting therapeutic and trauma-informed strategies.

    About You

    The ideal Mental Health Assistant will have:

    A caring, patient and empathetic approach.
    A genuine passion for supporting children.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    An interest in psychology, counselling, therapy, education or social care.
    A relevant degree is desirable but not essential.
