How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Specialist Teaching Assistant

    Location: Bracknell
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay Scale: £90.00 - £105.00 per day

    Are you a patient, compassionate, and dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Do you have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs and a passion for helping pupils reach their full potential?

    A supportive and inclusive Specialist School in Bracknell is seeking a committed Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to pupils with a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom.

    This Specialist Teaching Assistant role will involve:

    Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
    * Supporting pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and personal development
    * Adapting learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
    * Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
    * Supporting pupils who may have ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, or other additional needs
    * Encouraging positive engagement with classroom activities and school life
    * Building strong, trusting, and positive relationships with pupils
    * Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
    * Working closely with teachers and wider support staff to deliver individualised support
    * Helping to maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment

    * Well-connected Bracknell location with excellent transport linksIf you have previous experience working with children or young people, particularly within education, SEN, care, youth work, or a specialist setting, we would love to hear from you. Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable, but a caring personality, patience, resilience, and willingness to learn are equally important for this Specialist Teaching Assistant position.
