How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Make a real difference every day

Are you an experienced care or support professional who is ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

We’re looking for a Support Manager to lead and develop our supported living services, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, meaningful and increasingly independent lives.

This is a varied and rewarding management role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference — not only to the people we support, but also to the teams you lead and develop.

    About the role

As Support Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of a group of supported living services. Working closely with our Operations Managers, Operations Director and wider management team, you’ll ensure our services are safe, effective, person-centred and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

You’ll lead a team of Assistant Support Managers, Support Workers and Bank Support Workers, creating a positive culture where staff feel supported, valued and motivated to deliver excellent support.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing supported living services, ensuring they operate effectively and provide high-quality, person-centred support.

Developing support around each person’s individual needs, aspirations, choices and goals.

Supporting people to build independence, access their local community and enjoy meaningful opportunities and relationships.

Ensuring services meet CQC requirements, contractual obligations and organisational policies and procedures.

Managing risk assessments, support plans, health and safety and tenancy-related responsibilities.

Building effective relationships with families, adult social care, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders.

Managing recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training and development of your team.

Supporting staff performance and undertaking disciplinary investigations and hearings where required.

Overseeing staff rotas, scheduling and day-to-day service organisation.

Taking responsibility for the financial and administrative management of your services.

Responding effectively to emergencies and participating in the organisation’s on-call system.

Keeping up to date with legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice relating to learning disabilities and social care.

    What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people to live the lives they choose and who can combine strong leadership with a genuinely person-centred approach.

You’ll ideally have experience of managing or supervising teams within adult social care, supported living, learning disabilities or a similar environment, together with a good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, support planning and regulatory requirements.

    You’ll be:

A confident and compassionate leader who can motivate and develop others.

Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.

A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with people, families, professionals and colleagues.

Committed to promoting independence, choice, dignity and inclusion.

Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership when challenges arise.

Knowledgeable about CQC requirements and good practice within adult social care.

Able to work flexibly when required, including weekends, bank holidays, nights, sleep-ins/responsive nights and participation in an on-call rota.

Most importantly, you’ll share our commitment to helping people with learning disabilities have choice, build independence and achieve their full potential.

    What we can offer you

We believe our people are at the heart of the services we provide. That’s why we’re committed to giving our managers the support, training and development they need to succeed.

    You’ll have access to:

    Ongoing training and professional development.

Support and supervision from experienced senior managers.

Opportunities to develop your leadership and management skills.

Specialist training relevant to the needs of the people we support.

The opportunity to make a tangible difference to people’s lives every day.

A supportive team environment where your ideas, experience and leadership are valued.

    Ready to make a difference?

If you’re an experienced social care professional looking for a role where your leadership can genuinely change lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today to join us as a Support Manager and help create services where people can thrive, develop their independence and live life on their own terms
