We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a 12-month contract on the HS2 project.
IMPORTANT – MANDATORY REQUIREMENT Candidates with EKFB experience.
Candidates without a valid EKFB induction will not be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out civil engineering and infrastructure works accurately from approved drawings.
Using Total Station, GPS/GNSS and digital levels.
Establishing and maintaining survey control.
Checking line, level, coordinates, dimensions and tolerances.
Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records.
Supporting Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors with technical queries.
Completing quality checks and documentation in accordance with ITPs.
Working in accordance with project RAMS, HS2 and EKFB requirements.
Identifying and reporting discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
Maintaining accurate engineering and site records. Essential Requirements
Valid EKFB induction
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on major civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
Experience working on HS2 or other Tier 1 infrastructure projects.
Competent with Total Station, GPS/GNSS and levelling equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of setting-out procedures, tolerances and dimensional control.
Experience with as-built surveys and QA documentation.
Valid CSCS card appropriate to the role.
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
Strong health and safety awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a site engineering team. Contract 12 months' work available, with the potential for further work subject to project requirements

£350.00 - £370.00 per day
