🌟 The Opportunity
As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes when the regular teacher is unavailable, ensuring students remain focused and learning continues.
You may work across different subjects and year groups, following pre-prepared lesson plans and maintaining a well-managed classroom.
This role would suit someone who is confident in a classroom, reliable, organised and able to manage student behaviour effectively.
With supply work, you can choose from a range of opportunities and build experience across different secondary schools.
🎯 Your Responsibilities
As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you may be responsible for:
✅ Supervising secondary school classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
✅ Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and clearly communicating instructions.
✅ Managing classroom behaviour firmly, fairly and consistently.
✅ Maintaining a safe, structured and productive learning environment.
✅ Monitoring student engagement and ensuring work is completed.
✅ Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
✅ Communicating effectively with teaching staff and school leaders.
✅ Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and professional expectations.
