How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

TEACHING ASSISTANT - SEND / SEMH SCHOOL - Hull
    £95-£110 Per Day | Day-to-Day | Flexible Opportunities | Term-Time Only
Want to make a real difference to young people's lives?
We're working in partnership with a specialist SEND/SEMH school to recruit confident, caring and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children or young people who wants to build their career in special educational needs and mental health support.
    Day-to-day | Short-term | might turn into a long-term | Term-time only
    ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The school provides specialist education and support for children and young people with a range of SEND and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
It offers a structured, supportive and nurturing environment designed to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and achieve their potential.
You'll be working as part of a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, helping pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
Every day can be different - but every day gives you the opportunity to make a genuine difference.
    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, you should have:
    * Previous experience working with children or young people
    * Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
    * A caring, patient and empathetic approach
    * Confidence supporting students on a one-to-one or small-group basis
    * Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
    * The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations
    * A reliable and professional approach
    * A genuine commitment to supporting young people
    * The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
Experience within a UK school or education setting is highly desirable.
You don't need to be a qualified teacher - but you do need patience, resilience, empathy and a genuine desire to help young people succeed.
    MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY.
Working in a SEND/SEMH setting can be challenging - but it can also be one of the most rewarding experiences in education.
If you're patient, compassionate, resilient and passionate about supporting young people, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, an aspiring teacher or someone with relevant youth, care or support experience, this could be your opportunity to make a real difference.
Apply today and take the next step in your education career.
