Production Operative / Trainee Machinist

A Production Operative / Trainee Machinist is required for an engineering company in the Rowley Regis area. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within an engineering environment, with full training provided internally. Previous engineering experience is beneficial, with a willingness to learn, good attitude and good work ethic being essential.

The successful candidate will be trained across a variety of engineering disciplines, including;

Operating traditional lathes
Operating bandsaws and drilling equipment
Basic welding and small press operations
Final product assembly
General workshop and engineering dutiesThe ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in. This is a long-term opportunity for someone looking to learn new skills and develop within a small business. You must be looking for a stable position and willing to learn and progress.

The role is -

8am - 5pm (2pm Fridays), working Monday - Friday
£13.00 per hour to begin with
Increasing to £13.50 per hour as training progresses
