How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment

    Location: UK - Nationwide Projects
    Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
    Salary: 50 to 60k DOE + Package
    Sector: Commercial Fit-Out / Refurbishment / Interiors

    Site Manager - High-End Commercial Fit-Out

KPI Recruiting is working with an established and growing commercial fit-out specialist to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join its project delivery team.

Our client delivers high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK, working with recognised brands and businesses across retail, hospitality, leisure, office/commercial and specialist environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager who comes from a fit-out, refurbishment or interiors background and is comfortable taking ownership of fast-paced projects from site mobilisation through to final handover.

    The Role

As Site Manager, you will take day-to-day responsibility for the successful delivery of projects on site, managing subcontractors, trades, programme, quality and health & safety.

You will act as the key operational presence on site, working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and the wider delivery team to ensure projects are completed safely, on programme and to an exceptional standard.

    Typical responsibilities will include:

Managing commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover
Coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers and deliveries
Driving the programme and ensuring key project milestones are achieved
Managing short-term programmes and sequencing works effectively
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, finishes and attention to detail
Ensuring full compliance with site health & safety requirements
Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily site coordination
Managing snagging and ensuring works are completed to specification
Liaising professionally with clients, consultants, designers and project stakeholders
Maintaining accurate site records, progress reports and project documentation
Identifying potential programme or delivery issues and resolving them proactively
Supporting successful practical completion and client handover

    What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in Site Managers with a background in commercial interiors, fit-out or refurbishment.

You could have experience delivering projects within:

    Retail and branded environments
    Restaurants and hospitality
    Leisure
    Offices and commercial interiors
    High-spec refurbishment
    Fast-track fit-out projects
You will need to be confident managing multiple trades and subcontractors while maintaining control of programme, H&S, quality and client expectations.

    Essential

Proven experience as a Site Manager within fit-out, refurbishment or commercial construction
Strong subcontractor and trade management experience
Excellent understanding of site health & safety
Ability to work to demanding project programmes and deadlines
Strong eye for detail and quality of finish
    Excellent communication and client-facing skills
    SMSTS
    CSCS Manager Card
    Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to travel to projects as required
First Aid at Work would also be highly advantageous.

    Why Consider This Opportunity?

This isn't a role focused on repetitive new-build developments.

You'll be joining a specialist contractor delivering varied, design-led commercial projects, where the quality of the finished environment really matters.

The business has a strong pipeline of work and offers the opportunity to work on projects for established brands and organisations across a range of commercial sectors.

The package will include a competitive basic salary and benefits, dependent upon experience, alongside the opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing fit-out contractor.

    Interested?

If you're an experienced Fit-Out Site Manager looking for your next permanent opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply with your CV or contact KPI Recruiting for a confidential discussion about the role and current project pipeline.
