We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of groundworks operations across a new homes development in Fife.
The successful candidate will oversee site teams, subcontractors, plant and resources, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced groundworks professional looking to take ownership of site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all groundworks operations across the development.
Take responsibility for labour, subcontractors, plant, materials and site resources.
Plan and manage works in line with project programmes and key deadlines.
Monitor progress, productivity and quality across the groundworks package.
Coordinate drainage, foundations, roads, kerbing, utilities, concrete works and earthworks.
Ensure full compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures.
Lead site teams, carrying out inductions, toolbox talks and regular site briefings.
Liaise closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, engineers and other contractors.
Identify potential programme or site issues and implement solutions to minimise delays.
Ensure inspections, site records and relevant documentation are completed accurately.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and site organisation.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a Groundworks Manager, Site Manager or Senior Groundworks Supervisor/Foreman.
Strong background within groundworks and civil engineering.
Proven experience managing groundworks packages and site teams.
Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, kerbing, utilities, concrete works and earthworks.
SMSTS.
CSCS Management/Supervisor Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
Desirable
First Aid at Work.
NRSWA Supervisor.
Temporary Works awareness.
Experience within new build residential developments.
