Duties as a Food Technician:
Preparing ingredients, materials, and equipment for practical lessons
Supporting the delivery of Food Technology lessons
Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring resources are readily available
Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Cleaning and maintaining food preparation areas
Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Supporting students during practical activities where appropriateIdeal Food Technician:
Previous experience in a food preparation, catering, or technician role is desirable
Food Hygiene qualification is advantageous
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
