How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre – Heathrow

    We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary consultancy with a global record of successful delivery on a range of projects including, but not limited to, Data Centres, Recladding, Medical Projects, Nursing homes, Clinics and many more.

    Due to continuous growth, they are now seeking a well experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the electrical package on a Data Centre construction project in Heathrow.

    Responsibilities

    * Mechanical Package Delivery

    Lead the delivery of mechanical systems including cooling, chilled water, ventilation and associated plant, ensuring works are completed in line with programme, capacity and performance targets.

    * Systems Coordination

    Coordinate closely with electrical, BMS and controls teams to ensure all mechanical systems are fully integrated and operate as part of a cohesive critical environment.

    * Subcontractor Management

    Oversee mechanical subcontractors and specialist installers, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality and technical standards.

    * Testing & Commissioning

    Lead mechanical testing and commissioning activities including pressure testing and flushing, ensuring systems meet operational performance, efficiency and resilience requirements.

    * Phased Delivery & Live Environment Integration

    Support phased installation and commissioning strategies, ensuring systems can be brought online in a controlled manner without impacting live or future operations.

    Requirements

    * Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background

    * Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects including Data Centres

    * Must be based within a commutable distance of Heathrow

    Benefits

    £550 - £600 per day DOE
