The Trust operates a number of schools specialising in education for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Essential RequirementsApplicants must:
Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Have a minimum of 6 months' UK-based experience working with children in a school, childcare, or residential setting
Be able to provide a minimum of 2 years' worth of references, including at least one referee who can comment on your interaction and work with children
Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education
Have a genuine passion for supporting the care, wellbeing, and education of children and young people
Be able to immerse yourself in school life and become a positive role model for students
Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach, understanding that no two days are the same
Have the confidence and resilience to manage challenging behaviour and effectively de-escalate situations when required
Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a wider school team
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
