How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Streatham, South London
    Contract: Full-time | Long-term
    Hours: Monday–Friday | Term-time only

    SEN HLTA – An Exciting Step Towards Teacher Training

    Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for supporting children with Autism (ASC)?
    Are you confident leading learning, managing a small team and taking responsibility for a class?
    A welcoming and highly supportive primary school in Lambeth is looking for an ambitious SEN HLTA to take a leading role within a specialist Autism provision.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small class of just 6 children with Autism, delivering engaging learning activities and working closely with the school's experienced SEND team.
    For the right candidate, there is genuine potential for teacher training and career progression further down the line.
    The Role

    As the SEN HLTA, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day running of a small, structured Autism class.

    You will:

    Lead learning for a class of 6 primary-aged children with Autism
    Deliver engaging and differentiated learning activities
    Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
    Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment
    Adapt learning to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
    Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team
    Lead and coordinate Teaching Assistants working within the classroom
    Use visual timetables, structured routines and Autism-friendly strategies
    Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
    Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviourWho Are We Looking For?

    We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional who:

    Has previous experience as an HLTA, experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
    Has strong experience supporting children with Autism / ASC and additional needs
    Is confident leading small groups or whole-class learning
    Can create a calm, structured and engaging learning environment
    Has excellent behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
    Is confident working independently while being part of a wider team
    Is ambitious and interested in progressing within education
    Would potentially like to pursue a career in teachingExperience within an Autism Resource Provision, ARP, specialist provision or SEND school would be highly desirable.
