How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Teaching Assistant

    Location: Wokingham
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay Scale: £90.00 - £105.00 per day

    Are you a patient, resilient, and enthusiastic Behaviour Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Do you have experience supporting children with behavioural, social, emotional, or additional needs?

    A welcoming and inclusive Specialist School in Wokingham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of behavioural and SEN needs, including SEMH, ADHD, autism (ASD), and emotional and learning difficulties.

    This Behaviour Teaching Assistant role will involve:

    Providing consistent 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural needs
    Helping pupils manage emotions and develop positive coping strategies
    Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement in learning
    Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
    Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
    Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and other support professionals
    ASAP start
    Well-connected Wokingham location with good public transport linksIf you have previous experience working with children, particularly within education, youth work, care, or a similar setting, we would love to hear from you. Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable, but a positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn are equally important for this Behaviour Teaching Assistant position.
