How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking an EICA Design Engineer to support projects within the water industry. This contract opportunity is suited to an electrical design professional with an EICA background who can contribute to the delivery of effective and reliable water infrastructure solutions. The role is available to start as soon as possible.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Developing electrical and EICA designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
    Producing technical drawings, specifications and design documentation
    Applying electrical engineering principles to support the design and delivery of water industry schemes
    Working with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical and process engineering professionals
    Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards, project requirements and health and safety legislation
    Providing technical input throughout the design and project delivery process
    Supporting the resolution of technical issues and design queries
    Maintaining accurate project records and contributing to design reviews

    Job Requirements:

    Experience in EICA or electrical design within the water industry
    Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and design practices
    Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure
    Ability to interpret and produce electrical schematics, layouts and technical documentation
    Understanding of relevant electrical standards, regulations and health and safety requirements
    Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to design work
    Effective communication and collaboration skills
    Availability to start as soon as possible
