🌟 The Opportunity
We are looking for reliable, confident and adaptable education professionals who are interested in working as Cover Supervisors across secondary schools in Bristol.
You could be working across a range of subjects and year groups, supervising classes and ensuring students complete the work provided by their regular teacher.
The role requires someone who can take control of a classroom, communicate instructions clearly, manage behaviour effectively and maintain a focused learning environment.
Supply work can provide the opportunity to work across different schools, build further experience and choose a working pattern that suits your availability.
🎯 Your Responsibilities
As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you may be responsible for:
✅ Taking responsibility for classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
✅ Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and clearly communicating instructions to students.
✅ Maintaining an orderly, safe and productive classroom environment.
✅ Managing behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policies.
✅ Monitoring student progress and engagement during lessons.
✅ Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
✅ Communicating effectively with teaching staff and school leaders.
✅ Following school procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
