How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Resolving service-related queries

    Supporting customers face-to-face at events

Maintaining accurate customer information and records

    What we’re looking for -

Nikon is looking for bright, articulate and commercially minded graduates with the potential and ambition to become future leaders within the organisation.

To be considered for the programme, you must have:

    A 2:1 degree or above

A minimum of 7 GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including both Maths and English at grade 7 or above

A minimum of 3 A Levels at grade B or above

Evidence of leadership and initiative – you will have proactively led, organised or taken responsibility for an activity, project, team or initiative. This could be through university, work, sport, volunteering, societies or other activities

A genuine interest in developing experience across different commercial functions

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Good Microsoft Office skills

The ability to commute to Surbiton for two office days each week, or willingness to relocate

Previous work experience, an internship or work placement would be highly advantageous.

Please ensure your CV clearly includes your GCSE and A Level subjects and grades, together with details of any relevant work experience and examples of leadership or initiative.

    What Nikon offers -

Alongside a starting salary of £31,900 with regular salary reviews, you’ll enjoy an excellent benefits package including:

    £500 home-office furniture allowance

    £300 wellbeing allowance

27 days’ holiday, rising to 32 days, plus bank holidays

    Generous company pension

    Product discounts

    Flexible working hours

Hybrid working – 3 days from home

You’ll be joining a collaborative international organisation with more than 100 years of heritage and a brand recognised around the world for innovation, design and performance.
