How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant in Milton Keynes

    A welcoming specialist school in Milton Keynes is looking for a calm, nurturing and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

    Experience working with non-verbal pupils and children with complex needs is essential for this position.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist SEND setting, providing pupils with the individual support they need to develop their confidence, independence and learning.

    You will work closely with non-verbal pupils and children with complex needs, providing support on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. You will help pupils engage with their learning while also supporting their emotional wellbeing and development.

    Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant in Milton Keynes

    Provide 1:1 and in-class support to pupils with ASD and other additional needs.
    Work with non-verbal pupils and children with complex needs to support their individual needs.
    Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible and differentiated learning activities.
    Support pupils in developing their confidence, communication and independence.
    Build positive, trusting and respectful relationships with pupils.
    Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
    Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and encourage positive behaviour throughout the school day.
