How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Project Engineer to join an established and growing M&E engineering company based in the King's Lynn area.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electrical engineering background who is looking to develop their career within a busy project environment and gain valuable experience working on a variety of commercial, industrial and technically challenging projects.

    You will work closely with experienced Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, supporting the successful delivery of projects from design and planning through to installation, commissioning and handover.

    The Role

    As a Junior Electrical Project Engineer, you will support the project team with the technical and day-to-day coordination of electrical projects.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting Project Managers with the delivery of electrical projects
    • Assisting with project planning, programmes and technical documentation
    • Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications and project information
    • Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and site teams
    • Assisting with procurement of materials and equipment
    • Supporting the preparation of project documentation and reports
    • Assisting with project cost control and variations
    • Coordinating with design and engineering teams
    • Attending site meetings and supporting site operations
    • Assisting with installation, testing and commissioning activities
    • Monitoring project progress and reporting any issues to the Project Manager
    • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and relevant standards
    • Supporting the preparation of handover and O&M documentation
    • Maintaining a strong focus on health & safety throughout the project lifecycle

    • Commercial and industrial installations
    • Manufacturing and engineering environments
    • Electrical power and distribution systems
    • LV, MV and HV installations
    • Control panels and MCCs
    • BMS and FMS systems
    • Lighting and lighting control
    • UPS and standby power systems
    • Fire and security systems
    • Electrical testing and commissioning
    • Design and build projects

    About You

    We are looking for someone who is technically minded, organised and keen to develop their career within the electrical engineering and project management sector.

    Ideally, you will have:

    • An electrical engineering qualification or relevant industry experience
    • HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous
    • Some experience within an electrical contracting, M&E or building
