How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Manager - House Building

    Location: Aberdeen
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

    Join Our Growing House Building Team

    We are an established and growing house building company based in Aberdeen, delivering high-quality new homes across the North East of Scotland. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of residential developments from construction through to completion.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager who takes pride in quality, enjoys leading a team, and is looking to build a long-term career with a forward-thinking house builder.

    The Role:

    As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest possible standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site.
    Planning and coordinating subcontractors, trades and site resources.
    Ensuring construction programmes and key milestones are achieved.
    Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the development.
    Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
    Managing site inductions, inspections and relevant site documentation.
    Monitoring progress and identifying potential issues before they affect programme or quality.
    Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers and other project stakeholders.
    Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring defects are addressed promptly.
    Managing materials and deliveries efficiently.
    Keeping accurate site records and providing regular progress updates to senior management.
    Leading and motivating the site team to achieve project objectives.
    Ensuring completed homes are ready for handover to the required standard.About You:

    We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident managing a busy residential construction site.

    Ideally, you will have:

    Previous experience as a Site Manager within house building/residential construction.
    A strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and residential build processes.
    Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements.
    The ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
    Strong organisational and communication skills.
    A keen eye for quality and attention to detail.
    The ability to work to demanding programmes and deadlines.
    A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
    Relevant construction qualifications and a valid CSCS/SMSTS qualification.
    A full UK driving licence.What We Offer:
