How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant – Year 2

    Full-Time | Mainstream Primary School | Crawley

    Start ASAP

    We are currently recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a Year 2 pupil with autism within a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the Crawley area.

    This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring, patient and committed individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

    The Role

    You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent, nurturing support to the pupil throughout the school day. The role will involve helping the child to access learning, develop independence and confidence, and feel safe and included within the classroom and wider school environment.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Providing one-to-one support throughout the school day

    * Supporting the pupil to access the Year 2 curriculum

    * Helping develop communication, social and emotional skills

    * Encouraging independence and positive learning behaviours

    * Supporting with transitions and changes to routine

    * Helping manage and regulate emotions and behaviour in a calm and positive way

    * Building a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil

    * Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team

    * Following individual support plans and contributing to the pupil's development

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who is:

    * Patient, calm and compassionate

    * Confident working one-to-one with children

    * Understanding of autism and individual differences

    * Able to build positive and trusting relationships

    * Consistent and reliable in their approach

    * Passionate about supporting children's learning and development

    * A good communicator and team player

    Previous experience supporting children with autism, SEND or additional needs would be highly desirable. However, we will also consider candidates with strong transferable experience and the right attitude.

    Location: Crawley, West Sussex
    Hours: 08:30-15:30 , Monday–Friday
    Contract: Term-time
    Start: ASAP
    Salary: £92.63 a day
