How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

    Part-Time Morning Role | Mainstream Primary School | Littlehampton

    We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Littlehampton on a part-time basis.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for a morning-only role within a supportive school environment.

    The Role

    As an LSA, you will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. You may provide one-to-one or small-group support, helping children to engage with their learning and build confidence and independence.

    The role will include:

    * Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning

    * Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required

    * Helping children develop confidence and positive learning behaviours

    * Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

    * Building positive relationships with pupils and staff

    * Promoting an inclusive, safe and nurturing learning environment

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, reliable and enthusiastic about working with children. Previous experience in a school, nursery, childcare or support setting would be beneficial, although we would also consider candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude.

    Location: Littlehampton
    Position: Learning Support Assistant
    Hours: Part-time, 08:15-12:30, Monday-Friday, Term-time only
    Contract: Term-time
    Start Date: ASAP / September
    Salary: £14.25ph
