How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Group Marketing Manager
    Location: Bedford

    Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week. (Hybrid)
    Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

    We're looking to recruit a commercially minded and digitally fluent Group Marketing Manager to support the development and delivery of an integrated group marketing and communications strategy.

    This is a key role within the Group Marketing & Communications team, responsible for helping to build and strengthen the group’s brands, improve customer and employee engagement, support sales growth and ensure marketing investment delivers measurable commercial outcomes. 

    Duties of a Group Marketing Manager:

    • Support the development and delivery of an integrated group marketing and communications strategy.
    • Translate business objectives into prioritised annual marketing plans, campaign roadmaps, budgets, KPIs and clear accountabilities.
    • Lead, coach and develop the marketing and communications team.
    • Work closely with the Group Marketing & Communications Vice President, Product, the Sales teams to ensure marketing activity supports their growth.
    • Provide clear reporting, insight and recommendations to challenge priorities and improve return on investment.
    • Lead an audience-focused content strategy across social platforms.
    • Oversee campaign briefs, creative development and content productio.
    • Develop thought leadership, PR, media relations and reputation programmes.
    • Lead crisis and issues communications, maintaining robust approval processes and prepared response plans.
    • Improve digital customer journeys, conversion performance, lead generation and lifecycle communications.
    • Work with sales and commercial teams to define target audiences, campaign propositions, lead management processes and measures of pipeline or revenue contribution.
    • Oversee website governance, content quality, technical performance, search visibility and user experience, including how content is structured for conventional and AI-assisted search.
    • Create and lead a practical AI marketing roadmap, identifying high-value use cases and prioritising them according to business value, data readiness, risk and ease of adoption.
    • Use AI, automation and marketing technology to improve research, customer insight, campaign planning, content creation, personalisation and overall marketing efficiency, while ensuring responsible use and appropriate human oversight.
    • Lead the team in adopting AI effectively, developing practical workflows and standards, and measuring the impact on efficiency, quality and commercial results.
    • Use data from web, CRM, social and advertising channels to measure performance, identify opportunities and optimise campaigns, content and marketing investment.
    • Lead a test-and-learn approach and provide clear, commercially focused reporting, ensuring marketing data is accurate, secure and compliant.

    What we would like from you:

    Essential:
    • Proven experience in a marketing and communications leadership role, with accountability for strategy, people, budgets and measurable outcomes.
    • Demonstrable practical experience using AI in marketing.
    • Strong integrated marketing experience across brand, content, digital, CRM, social media, PR, events and internal communications.
    • Commercial understanding and the ability to connect marketing activity to customer growth, retention, sales pipeline, revenue or other agreed business outcomes.
    • Confident working with marketing data, dashboards, attribution principles, testing and performance optimisation.
    • Working knowledge of SEO, paid media, email marketing, CRM, marketing automation, websites and content management systems.
    • Experience leading and developing a team.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence senior leaders.
    • Highly organised
    • Knowledge of responsible AI, data protection, copyright, consent, accessibility and brand-safety considerations in marketing.
