How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to gather information and assess risk.
Identify safeguarding concerns and contribute to effective threshold and intervention decisions.

Provide professional expertise, guidance, and advice to partner agencies.
Support a relationship-based and strengths-focused approach to practice.
Undertake effective risk analysis, balancing strengths and concerns to support robust safety planning.
Demonstrate professional curiosity and critical thinking to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.

    About You

Significant experience within Children's Social Care with a strong safeguarding and child protection focus.
Previous experience working within a MASH, Front Door, Assessment, Duty, or Child Protection Team.
Strong knowledge of referral screening, information gathering, risk assessment, and threshold decision-making.
The ability to analyse complex information and make balanced, defensible decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience of working effectively within a multi-agency setting.
Confidence in applying professional judgement and appropriately challenging decisions where required.
A sound understanding of current legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
A commitment to relationship-based and strengths-focused practice. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
