Morning Shift Supervisor
Salary: £32,454 - £44,625
Hours: 5:30am to 3:30pm (47.5 hours)
Location: Envirosort, WR5 2DF
About the role
As a Morning Shift Supervisor at Envirosort (Severn Waste Services), you will assist the Plant Manager in the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the Materials Recycling Facility. You will be responsible for supervising employees, maintaining operational standards, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements, and supporting the day-to-day performance of the site.

What will you be doing?
- Supervising recycling assistants, team leaders, drivers and weighbridge operatives
- Ensuring all site activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures
- Monitoring plant, equipment and operational performance and reporting defects as required
- Supporting the delivery of production targets
- Conducting daily operational checks and maintaining accurate records
- Delivering toolbox talks and supporting employee training and development
- Managing attendance, conducting return-to-work interviews and addressing performance issues where required
- Collating payroll information accurately and within required timescales
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and safe systems of work
- Working closely with the Plant Manager to ensure efficient use of resources and smooth site operations
What are we looking for?
- At a minimum, 3 years' experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a manufacturing, recycling or process environment
- Previous people management experience
- Strong communication skills with a high standard of spoken and written English
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Health & Safety focused approach
- Reliable, honest and professional attitude
- Leadership and management qualifications would be advantageous
