How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EXPERIENCED BODYSHOP MANAGER / VDA
    Location: Frome
    Salary: Up to £55,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Bodyshop Manager / VDA, you will have responsibility for both the operational performance of the bodyshop and the accurate assessment and estimating of accident-damaged vehicles.

    This is a varied and influential position, combining people management, production control, estimating and customer/insurer liaison to ensure the bodyshop operates efficiently while maintaining exceptional repair quality and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Manage the day-to-day operation of the bodyshop, overseeing workflow, productivity, quality and vehicle throughput
    ·Lead, motivate and support the bodyshop team to achieve operational and performance targets
    ·Assess accident damage and prepare accurate repair estimates using appropriate estimating systems
    ·Determine appropriate repair methods and identify additional damage and supplementary requirements
    ·Liaise with insurers, customers, technicians and other key stakeholders throughout the repair process
    ·Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint departments to ensure repairs progress efficiently and to agreed timescales
    ·Ensure repairs and estimates comply with manufacturer repair methods, industry standards and Health & Safety requirements
    ·Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement and drive consistently high standards across the operation

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager / VDA with a strong understanding of accident repair operations and the technical expertise required to accurately assess and estimate vehicle damage.

    ·Proven experience within an automotive accident repair environment
    ·Previous experience as a Bodyshop Manager, VDA, Estimator or in a senior bodyshop management position
    ·Strong understanding of Panel, MET and Paint repair processes
    ·Experienced in assessing accident damage and producing accurate repair estimates
    ·Strong knowledge of repair methods, labour times and vehicle construction
    ·Confident leading and managing teams while maintaining productivity and quality standards
    ·Excellent communication and customer/insurer liaison skills
    ·Strong commercial awareness, organisation and problem-solving abilities
    ·Quality-focused with a strong understanding of compliance and Health & Safety
    ·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
