Exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer to join a well-established UK law firm within its growing London insurance practice.
The firm has a strong reputation across the insurance market, acting for a broad range of insurers, reinsurers and London Market clients, with a particular focus on complex, high-value insurance and reinsurance matters.
They are looking to speak with experienced Legal Directors, Senior Associates and Partners with a strong background in non-marine reinsurance and coverage.
The opportunity can work as either a Day-One Partnership move for a Legal Director/Senior Associate ready to step up, or as a lateral Partner move for an established Partner looking for a platform with genuine scope to develop and grow.
The opportunity
- Join an established and growing London insurance practice with a strong existing market presence.
- Play a significant role in the continued development and strategic direction of the practice.
- Work closely with the existing leadership on the wider insurance and reinsurance growth strategy.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with insurers, reinsurers and London Market clients.
- Have genuine scope to build out the team and practice around you.
- Work on complex, high-value non-marine reinsurance and coverage matters.
- Have meaningful influence over the future direction of the London offering.
What they are looking for
- Strong experience in non-marine reinsurance and coverage.
- Experience acting for reinsurers, cedants and/or London Market clients.
- Exposure to Treaty and/or Facultative reinsurance, alongside complex coverage work.
- Experience handling sophisticated, high-value disputes and/or advisory matters.
- Strong relationships across the insurance and reinsurance market.
- A credible and verifiable client following/pipeline.
- The commercial drive and ambition to play a central role in building and developing the practice.
For the right individual, this represents more than simply joining another established insurance team. There is genuine scope to influence strategy, develop the client base, build the team and play a central role in the continued growth of the London practice.
